Purpose
Rotating ThousandEyes agent credentials by hand was a recurring chore for Chevron, and every manual cycle left a wider window for stale or mishandled passwords. They needed credentials to stay within security policy without staff working through the agent fleet by hand.
Description
We automated the full credential rotation and expiration cycle, driving the ThousandEyes console the way a person would since it offers no direct automation of its own. The routine generates fresh credentials, applies them across every agent, and holds to the expiration timelines security policy requires. That erased the manual update chore and closed the window where a password could go stale or be mishandled. The agent fleet stays continuously compliant without anyone chasing deadlines.
