Purpose
This Mapua University study evaluates whether Zigbee radio technology can accurately localize a person indoors, tracking their position and their distance relative to other people within a defined area.
Description
The system uses XBee modules on Arduino nodes to measure radio signal strength between wearable tags and fixed anchors, estimating each person's indoor position where GPS cannot reach. A Python application with a PyQt5 interface processes the RF measurements and visualizes positions and inter-person distances in real time. The study assesses tracking and distance-measurement accuracy to establish the feasibility of Zigbee-based indoor localization.
