Purpose
This Mapua University study aimed to build and evaluate an aquaponics system powered by a triple-input, single-output supply with smart source switching, optimizing energy efficiency while monitoring plant and fish growth in real time.
Description
The system draws power from solar, pico-hydro, and grid sources through a triple-input, single-output supply, with an Arduino-based fuzzy logic controller selecting the active source intelligently to keep the system running continuously. IoT sensors track environmental conditions and publish data to ThingSpeak for remote monitoring. Performance was evaluated on energy management and on the system's ability to sustain plant and fish growth.
