Purpose
Commanders lose track of personnel in the field the moment radio check-ins go quiet, and a soldier in trouble may not be able to call for help. This project set out to prove that a single wearable could report a soldier's health, position, and movement continuously, without anyone having to ask.
Description
We built a wearable unit that reads vital signs, location, and body orientation and streams them live to a companion mobile app, so command can watch each person's status remotely in real time. Motion and position sensing let the system tell whether someone is upright, moving, or down, and everything updates on its own without a manual check-in. Fusing body-worn sensors, wireless telemetry, and a live monitoring app into one reliable loop is exactly the kind of hard problem we like.
