Purpose
Mapua University needed a simpler way to request and manage faculty consultations, replacing ad hoc coordination with an IoT station that keeps requests, messages, and notifications synchronized in real time.
Description
A Raspberry Pi consultation station running a Python and PyQt interface, with Firebase as the real-time backend. Users submit and track consultation requests from the device, exchange messages through a dedicated messaging screen, and have their photo captured via the onboard camera using OpenCV. Firebase keeps every station in sync as requests change status, and the system sends email notifications so both parties stay informed.
