Purpose

The brief was to turn an ordinary present into something interactive — a gift the recipient could bring to life straight from their phone. It is a deceptively tricky build, because a handful of unrelated electronic parts have to behave as one responsive device.

Description

We engineered a gift whose lights, sound, movement, and sensors all respond in real time to taps in a companion mobile app. Each part — the display, the melodies, the motor, the proximity and temperature sensors — was built and tested on its own before being integrated into a single coordinated device. Getting independent hardware modules to act as one, driven wirelessly from a phone, is the sort of hands-on integration work we do well.
