Purpose
Drivers behind a vehicle cannot see the road ahead of it. CarWink relays front road conditions to trailing vehicles through a rear-window display, improving situational awareness and safety on the road.
Description
A solar-powered prototype mounts a TFT display on the car's rear window, driven by an Arduino Mega that loads message graphics from an SD card. The driver controls it hands-free through a React Native mobile app built with Expo: voice commands are recognized on the phone and sent over Bluetooth, and the matching image appears on the display for vehicles behind.
