Purpose
Assessing sleep quality normally requires a clinical setting. This design monitors the wave patterns of a sleeping person and analyzes them in MATLAB, providing insight into sleep patterns and quality outside a lab.
Description
Arduino hardware captures signals from the sleeping subject and passes them to MATLAB over a serial port connection for processing. MATLAB analyzes and visualizes the recorded wave patterns to characterize sleep behavior, while an infrared remote interface on the Arduino side supports device control. The result is a compact monitoring rig that turns raw sensor waveforms into readable sleep-quality insights.
