Purpose

Chevron's network engineers needed to know how routing would behave before they changed anything, but the only way to find out was to test on live production equipment and risk taking the network down. Every change carried the uncertainty of not being able to see its effect first. They needed a safe way to validate routing decisions ahead of time.

Description

We built a simulator that traces how routers choose their paths under different configurations, so engineers can see the outcome of a change before it ever touches production. It draws on real device data to visualize routing decisions, troubleshoot unexpected paths, and confirm a change will land the way it's meant to. The result is far less guesswork, and change work that carries real confidence instead of real risk.
