Purpose

A university engineering department was watching its enrollment slide without a reliable way to see where the numbers were heading. Planning interventions on gut feel is risky, so leaders needed data-backed projections they could actually defend when deciding how to respond.

Description

We built a desktop forecasting tool that loads years of historical enrollment records and projects future headcount using time-series machine learning. The department can set how far ahead it wants to look, and the app charts the projected trend so a decline is obvious at a glance rather than buried in a spreadsheet. It turns raw enrollment history into a clear forward view leaders can plan around, the kind of applied forecasting we build to answer real institutional questions.
