Purpose
Use LoRa's long-range, low-power radio capability to establish bidirectional communication between a weather station deployed in a remote area and a central receiver hub in an urban location.
Description
The remote node pairs an Arduino with a LoRa radio and a weather sensor suite — barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, and gas sensors — and transmits readings over a tuned long-range link to the urban hub. The same channel carries news and text messages back to the remote site, and the radio parameters (spreading factor, bandwidth, coding rate) were iteratively tuned to keep the link reliable at distance.
